PAST WINNER SPOTLIGHT – Rama Yaghi’s 1973 Holden HQ GTS Tribute
Rama Yaghi, a Tuff Streeters member from Queensland, took home this Beast of HQ GTS valued at $145,000!
This Azzure Blue beauty, a stunning 1973 Holden HQ GTS Tribute blends period correct style with modern, ground pounding performance. Professionally built and meticulously detailed, this machine isn’t just a looker, it’s a full on street weapon.
Under the hood lies a brand new Blueprint 400ci Small Block Chev, pumping out a blistering 520hp and 515ft/lb of torque through a hydraulic roller setup. Paired with ceramic coated Pacemaker 4 into 1 headers and a twin 3” exhaust, the sound is as savage as the performance.
Power gets delivered through a manualized Turbo 350, built to handle the grunt, matched with a 3500 TCE converter and a B&M Carbon Stealth Ratchet Shifter for crisp, race ready shifts. All that torque is channelled via a new GJ Drivelines 3” tailshaft to a bulletproof Altra9 shortened 9” diff, sporting 3.9 gears, Eaton TrueTrac LSD, and 31 spline billet axles.
To keep it planted, the rear end has been seriously sorted, being split tubbed to the rails to squeeze in fat 275/60 rear boots, supported by McDonald Bros adjustable trailing arms. Genuine old school Satin Centerlines (5.5″ front, deep 8.5″ rear) complete the aggressive stance.
Inside, the cabin is just as sharp: all new black long grain vinyl with houndstooth inserts deliver that iconic GTS vibe, giving a respectful nod to the HQ legacy while staying fresh and clean.
This HQ GTS Tribute is the complete package, professionally built with no corners cut, and ready to impress.
Congratulations to Rama Yaghi, another past winner keeping the legacy alive in one of the baddest HQs around!
