Past Winner Spotlight: BJ Camenzu’s Holden HQ GTS Coupe
BJ Camenzu from New South Wales, took first place in our Holden vs Ford Giveaway, and made his choice, taking home one of sweetest cruisers around, a Manual HQ GTS Coupe valued at $130,000!
Meet the Ultimate Old School Cruiser, a full rotisserie built HQ GTS Coupe that captures the raw spirit of Aussie muscle and brings it back louder, tougher, and cleaner than ever.
Under the bonnet sits a warmed up Holden 308, breathing through a Comp camshaft with upgraded valve springs and lifters, backed by a Rollmaster timing set to keep everything tight and on point. Pacemaker 4-into-1 extractors feed into a custom twin 2.5” exhaust system, delivering that unmistakable deep, old school V8 rumble that turns heads before the
car even rolls into view.
Power is sent through a 4 speed manual gearbox and is planted to the pavement via a GJ Drivelines tailshaft. Cooling duties are handled by an alloy radiator with twin thermo fans, keeping things running crisp whether it’s cruise night or summer street duty.
Sitting tough on a full Pedders lowered suspension setup, this coupe has the perfect muscle stance. Weld Magnum wheels complete the look, 17” up front, 15” beadlocks at the rear, wrapped in meaty PSR 255/60 tyres that give it that unmistakable pro street attitude.
Inside, it’s just as impressive. The interior has been fully retrimmed in GTS trim, staying true to its heritage while presenting showroom fresh. A complete rewire ensures reliability to match the restoration quality, no corners cut, no shortcuts taken.
This HQ GTS Coupe is everything we love about old school Australian muscle, restored the right way, built to be driven, and guaranteed to steal the spotlight wherever it goes.
A huge congratulations to BJ Camenzu, a past winner now enjoying a timeless Aussie muscle icon.
