Past Winner Spotlight: Zayne Grimmer’s 2010 Ford G6E Turbo
For a one time only promotion, we opened the draw to New Zealand, and Zayne Grimmer from NZ ended up taking home this absolute weapon: a 2010 Ford G6E Turbo, tuned to a safe 490 kilowatts on E85 by Seres Engineering.
This G6E is a perfect mix of power and street style, fitted with rolling anti-lag and ghost cams for that killer turbo soundtrack.
Styling wise, it’s been given all the right touches, a dealer optioned sunroof, 20 inch Chrysler 300C wheels, XR8 bonnet, and a full LED exterior and interior light conversion. Inside, it’s got a GT-E push start button, while the ride is sorted with XYZ coilovers on the front and SSSL springs on the rear for that tough, low stance.
The power mods are just as serious, with a BorgWarner EFR 8374 turbo, Nizpro Stage 2+ kit, a full custom 4 inch stainless steel exhaust, Plazmaman surge tank setup with twin Pierburg fuel pumps, and ID1000 injectors to keep it fed.
The engine has been bulletproofed with billet oil pump gears, upgraded valve springs, and ARP head studs, making sure it’s ready to handle the power for the long haul.
Backing it all up is a Stage 1 transmission built by R&S Performance, a PBR brake system, an upgraded GJ Drivelines tailshaft, an IMS diff hat upgrade, a Truetrac differential, and an XR8 power steering relocation upgrade for extra clearance.
It’s all topped off with a Proflow 1L catch can and a relocated Optima D34 deep cycle battery for a clean, functional engine bay.
